No. Chasing Summer products are intentionally free from retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids, and beta hydroxy acids. These are powerful adult actives that can damage or irritate the developing skin barrier in tweens and teens. We use superfruit oils instead- gentler and naturally nourishing.

Yes! Tween and teen safe skincare is why I created the brand.  Tweens and teens don't need overcomplicated routines or adult products.  They need gentle basics that support their skin barrier and their confidence. 

I created Chasing Summer specifically for tweens and teens (usually 8-18), however we've found that our slightly older customers love it too!  At our core, we're soft, simple skincare that hydrates and protects without harsh actives.  The age that you feel comfortable starting on that skincare journey with your child is personal and up to you! 

Yes, our products are formulated to feel soothing and protective.  We always recommend that you do a patch test first with any new products.  Your forearm or neck work well as they're sensitive skin areas.  If you find any sensitivity, discontinue use and contact us for a refund.

Yes, Chasing Summer is cruelty-free and vegan.  We love animals too! 

For us, clean means no parabens, no sulfates, no phthalates, no formaldehydes, and no harsh actives like retinoids or exfoliating acids. We use simple, transparent ingredient lists with nothing I wouldn’t put on my own teen. Clean can mean different things to different brands so we keep our standards visible and specific.

Our products contain a light scent because we want skincare to feel good and be a full sensory moment.  Our fragrance is high quality and doesn't contain phthalates, sulfates, formaldehydes, or parabens.  If you're concerned about fragrance irritation, we recommend a patch test first.  If irritation occurs, contact us for a refund.   

Less is more! Young, sensitive skin doesn't need more products.  A great starter routine consists of a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen in the morning.  Too many steps and too many products can lead to irritation and harm the skin barrier.

Our formula is lightweight and designed not to clog pores. Mango, kiwi, chia, and acai seed oils are very low on the comedogenic scale. Our Hydro Whip texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly and is free of heavy occlusives that commonly trigger breakouts. If you have skin questions or concerns its always best to consult a dermatologist to build a routine.
